FAQs: Anti-Wrinkle Injections
- BOTOX®: Contains accessory proteins that may increase the risk of resistance with long-term use. To help prevent the development of neurotoxin resistance, we don’t carry BOTOX® at Refined Aesthetics.
- Dysport®: Ideal for individuals with strong facial muscles and faster metabolisms, often showing results within a few days.
- XEOMIN: Free of accessory proteins, it contains only 3 ingredients and delivers soft, natural-looking results.
- Daxxify®: Offers visible results in as little as 24 hours and which last up to 4–5 months when properly dosed.
When injected into a muscle, BOTOX® temporarily prevents it from contracting and creating fine lines & wrinkles in the skin. By relaxing the underlying facial muscles, this anti-wrinkle injection empowers you to naturally reduce the appearance of these unwanted lines, particularly in areas like the forehead, frown lines, and crow’s feet.
Depending on which neuromodulator you choose, you may notice results as early as 2 days after injection. Peak results are typically seen within 14 days after the initial injection.

The neuromodulator dosage is dependent upon the area being treated, the intended result, and your lifestyle.
The toxin can create eyelid droop (ptosis), if it migrates to an unwanted area. To minimize the risk of this occurring, for at least 6 hours after your injection:
- Remain upright.
- Avoid exercise or any activity that makes you sweat.
- Don’t wear a hat or sunglasses.
- Avoid air travel (on the same day of treatment).
- Don’t wash or blow-dry your hair.
- No facials or massages.
- Don’t take a shower.
FAQs: Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are an injectable substance used to provide structure and support to an area of volume loss. At Refined Aesthetics, we use hyaluronic acid fillers & biostimulants (like Radiesse fillers) to reduce the signs of aging.
As we age, we naturally lose volume in our face. This volume loss contributes to folds, wrinkles, thinning lips, hollow eyes, and jowls (to name a few). Dermal fillers keep us looking naturally ageless by helping to restore volume, smooth out wrinkles & folds, and improve cheek contour.
Generally, the results from dermal fillers can last between 8 to 16 months. However, specific duration is dependent upon many factors including:
- Type of dermal filler used.
- Amount of dermal filler placed.
- How fast your body metabolizes filler.
Initially after treatment, we request that you avoid putting make-up on your skin. We’ll send you home with a bruise cream to help decrease bruising, swelling, and risk of infection.

Due to the risk of bruising and swelling, we recommend giving yourself a 2-week grace period before attending any special events. To help decrease the risk of infection, please avoid dental cleanings & any vaccines 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your treatment.
FAQs: Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Microneedling
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) microneedling is a med spa service that utilizes your own plasma to help stimulate collagen, elastin, and fibrin production. Benefits include:
- Stimulating cell turnover

- Decreased pore size
- Brighter skin
This service is a wonderful option to help diminish acne scarring and surgical scars.
We apply a numbing cream to your face to make this process as painless as possible.
You’ll likely need a series of 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Maintain your results after this initial series of treatments by investing in a treatment every 3-4 months.
While PRP microneedling is a phenomenal treatment, results are not immediately visible.
- 3 days after your treatment: Your skin will be glowing.
- 3 months after treatment: Your results will be noticeable.

The Perfect Derma Peel can address a variety of skin concerns. Generally, we recommend our chemical peel services to clients with:
- Acne
- Acne Scarring
- Fine Lines And Wrinkles

Most clients report minimal discomfort because the chemical peels we utilize contain phenol, which acts as an anesthetic.
Many clients report glowing skin within 1 week of their first treatment. However, it may take 3 to 4 Perfect Derma Peels for optimal results. Typically, we advise a minimum of three peels performed at 4-week intervals.
